Job Description:
GIS and Data Technical Support Officer Starting salary £34,376 (pay range is £34,376 -£39,661 and the successful candidate will be appointed to the starting point)Fixed Term Contract until March 2020 – 35 Hours per week Based in Stirling The Role: Zero Waste Scotland (ZWS), Scotland’s resource efficiency and circular economy expert, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional to assist us in delivering a discreet and specialised programme of work with key stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of driving change across Scotland. Working within the Resource Management team, you will be responsible for supporting internal and external stakeholders to develop GIS data sets, particularly in relation to zoning of land in line with the Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse 2018. The role will involve providing on-site support to key stakeholders to utilise GIS applications and to build capacity to maintain and update data sets in the future. You will also be required to assist in developing the software used.
Job Requirements:
The candidate: To be successful in this role you will have a broad technical knowledge of the sector and the ability to work persuasively with stakeholder to generate and implement solutions.
You will have demonstrable experience of
developing and implementing project plans, experience of developing and maintaining GIS datasets for monitoring and analysis evidence of working with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
